Founders Craig Scherer and Doug Brewer formed a leadership team with the personalities and skills to lead our diverse group of people and to inspire creativity and a strong work ethic.

Our partners are responsible for ensuring a sound business, but also strive to make Insight a dynamic place to work for our staff and an inspiring partner for our clients.

Craig Scherer

Senior Partner and Co-Founder

Craig co-founded Insight in Chicago in 1988. Over that time, Insight has grown into an international firm that still relies on the same foundation of strong communication and great client relationships. Craig helps to ensure those principles remain intact by heading up sales, marketing and by maintaining an active role in account management. Craig holds a BFA in industrial design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Doug Brewer

Senior Partner and Co-Founder

Doug, also a co-founder of Insight, manages the company's operations and infrastructure. He has helped maintain a strong business within a highly competitive environment. Doug's background in design combined with his business acumen has helped Insight become a company that was named one of Inc. magazine's 100 fastest growing U.S. businesses three times. Doug holds a BFA in industrial design from Purdue University and an MBA in marketing and strategic planning from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Steve McPhilliamy

Partner and Director of Design

Steve Joined Insight in 1998 leads the company's overall design function and oversees projects from a diverse range of categories. Steve is committed to helping clients design innovative products and services and has helped Insight earn over 200 design patents and 40 industry awards. Steve studied under renowned designer Victor Papanek, whose influence remains a strong part of his design philosophy as he continually strives to incorporate sustainability into projects. Steve earned a BFA in industrial design from the University of Kansas.

Mark Tunkel

Director of Business Development

Mark has been working in global business development and major account management for over 20 years and has helped Insight grow and evolve since he joined the firm in the year 2000. Mark plays a key role in Insight’s business development and marketing strategies and helps to regularly improve and expand our offerings to better benefit our clients. He drives strong communication and collaboration at the inception of a program through to completion. Mark received a BA in Political Science from Indiana University.

Ed Geiselhart

Director of Product Development and Planning

Ed joined Insight in 1999 and has over 20 years of experience in development consulting. He manages project teams and provides them with the leadership necessary to achieve success. Ed is heavily involved in helping clients utilize new methods to solve complex challenges that balance business goals, technical considerations, market influences, and user needs. He has published numerous articles and has spoken on innovation both domestically and internationally. Ed graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Industrial Design.

Sean Corrigan

Director of Engineering

Sean has been working in product development since 1998. He began his career designing aircraft engines for General Electric using rigorous 6 Sigma development methodologies, and then went on to develop communications products at Motorola. Sean joined Insight in 2007 and soon after became our director of engineering where he has established our quality system, leads our engineering discipline and manages major programs. Sean holds a BS in Physics and BSME from the University of Michigan and MSME from the University of Cincinnati.

Anthony Annibale

Director of Business Development

In 2004, Anthony merged his engineering consulting firm with Insight, bringing his 20 years of extensive product-development experience to help manage client programs, drive corporate development, and design client strategies that spur innovation while mitigating risk and maximizing outcomes. Anthony has provided key leadership to several top accounts and has contributed to the continuous improvement of Insight’s processes, tools and people. Anthony holds a BSME from Old Dominion University.
