Technical Analysis Engineer - Chicago
Our Chicago engineering group is seeking an experienced technical analysis engineer to join our team. This individual must have 5+ years of experience in using engineering analysis to evaluate and drive engineering design. Following are qualifications that are being sought for this position:
- Extensive experience in using non-linear structural FEA (Algor, Nastran, or other) on components and multi-part assemblies.
- Experience with dynamic analysis tools (i.e. COSMOS Motion, Pro/MECHANISM or other), incorporating external forces, torques, friction
- Experience with thermal/fluid analysis
- Ability to conduct empirical lab testing – DOE, data acquisition with Labview, quantitative data analysis
- Ability to communicate results verbally and visually to design engineers and clients, while providing technical advice relevant to product designs
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects
- MS/PhD in mechanical engineering or similar
