Staff and Senior Industrial Designer
Insight Product Development is a global leader in the creation of innovative solutions for complex products, systems and workflows. We are product development consultants with deep experience working collaboratively with our clients to create and evolve technologies, products, and the services and systems that support them in new and innovative ways.
We are searching for staff and senior industrial designers with a minimum of 2 years experience in product development/medical design as well as practical experience building client relationships. Applicants should have a depth of research understanding and the ability to articulate design vision based on collaborative team development. We are looking for passionate designers that can both create and encourage with an artistic balance of research, engineering, and Design. Individuals should be self-motivated, innovative, and possess a casual positive energy.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a portfolio of successful projects including products on the market.
- Excellent conceptual thinking and problem solving. Superior sketching/rendering skills, sensitivity to form, color, finish and material.
- Excellent 3D surface knowledge.
- Depth of experience working in teams conducting research including data collection, analysis and synthesis.
- Strong ability in visual presentation and storytelling. Must be confident and articulate to present in front of clients and management teams.
- Additionally, Senior Designers must have understanding and demonstrated implementation of design language, ability to mentor junior designers, guide projects, inspire through example, infuse design passion, and help build strong internal cross functional teams.
Experience Level Requirements:
Staff level candidates must have 2-5 years experience and a bachelor’s degree in industrial design.
