Near&Dear Wearable Takes Home Design Concept Accolade

 

Red-Dot-logoThe Insight team outperformed nearly 4,800 competitive entries from 63 countries to win what is arguably today’s largest and most prestigious international award for design concepts at a professional level. The team’s Near&Dear concept, a wearable technology designed to preserve the independence and autonomy of caregivers and patients alike, was awarded the Red Dot “Best of the Best” Design Concept distinction. The team responsible for driving the design of this winning concept included Insight Senior Manager of Industrial Design Tony Belton, Insight Industrial Designers Edward Cox and Alisa Rantanen, and Insight Senior Interaction Designer Miguel Martinez, under the direction and guidance of Insight’s Director of Design, Steve McPhilliamy.
