A key part of the success of the program was iterative development of the mechanism itself. Not only did the mechanical solution have to be foolproof in terms of timely delivery of cement mixed to a very specific viscosity, it also had to do so while meeting the requirements of being a completely disposable system. In order to achieve a critical business goal of the program, this system had to be manufactured at a cost equal to the reimbursement allowance. Insight’s iterative design and optimization process ensured the development of a robust system at the right cost.
