Easy donn, easy doff
Improving the comfort of the respirators wouldn't be enough for total worker safety compliance. To be truly useful, the respirators needed to be put on and taken off easily, ideally without having to make any adjustments to the respirator or how it is sized to fit the workers head. For half mask respirators, Insight innovated a QuickLatch feature which slides the face mask off the wearer's face but keeps the suspension system intact. Putting the respirator on again is as simple as putting the unit back in place and flipping the latch closed. The mask automatically returns to the original position and optimizes comfort.
Insight translated the same benefits to a full face respirator, this time the QuickFit mechanism seals the respirator in place with a simple twist of dial. Taking the respirator off is just as easy, the wearer easily pulls the mechanism to release the cords that hold the respirator in place. For both designs, the wearer never has to touch a strap and can put the respirator on and take it off with one hand
