In addition to designing the experience of the product, Insight and Herman Miller set goals to design and manufacture the product responsibly. The Babble product utilizes pure materials devoid of inks and paints and the plastic parts are designed for easy disassembly with a screw on each side that ties the entire assembly together. Lastly, the parts are molded with information on recycling; an important feature as many new technology products are quickly replaced by upgrades, and typically disposed of.
